Creating A Culture of Innovation in the Classroom

I believe that every student has its own potential and unique set of skills if he or she will be given an opportunity to
showcase that talent. The problem is how are we able to encourage students to grow and showcase his or her abilities if
the teacher is more focused in delivering the lesson instead of letting the student explore things related to the topic? One way to address this issue is to include varied learning styles in the classroom while applying the Design Thinking Process through interactive activities that will require them to think, analyze, synthesize, and create.

My name is Kevin S. Daga-as a Technology and ADTECH Teacher at Philippine Science High School - SOCCSKSARGEN Region Campus and a registered Electrical Engineer. I am a recipient of "Sinagtala Teaching Excellence Award" given by the Philippine Science High School System in the year 2018. I  organized a club in our school called PSHS-SRC Young Inventors Club where students are being trained and taught about Robotics, Electronics & Electricity, and Design Thinking. Members of the club have already produced numerous patented inventions which a good training ground as we prepare them to become globally competitive individuals and nation builders.
