  • a post-graduate diploma from the Higher Teacher Training College of the University of Yaounde l. I also have a Phd in Law.
  • the Excellency Award from the Ministry of Secondary Education, Cameroon in the academic year 2017/2018.
  • teaching in the Teacher Training College, Buea for twenty three years holding different posts of responsibilities – Chief of Bureau in charge of Research and Documentation from 2004 – 2012, and Director of Studies from 2012 to present date.
Contribution:

ICT has systematically and pervasively infiltrated most aspect of life including teaching and learning. Personally, teaching in Government Teacher Training College for 23 years has not been easy as concerns didactic materials. I had just my text books, chalk and chalkboard. Whenever I give assignments, some students would not do it because of lack of material. I resorted to photocopy sections of the textbook and give them.

With the introduction of computer technology on the time table, the student where taken to cyber for practical lessons. With this knowledge, I was able to send them to get materials for their assignments. Most often I give group assignments they research and put their materials together and is presented as a group. Competency based approach need learners to do most of the work themselves. This encouraged participation of most of the students making teaching and learning interesting. At moment I created a forum with the students in which assignments and difficulties are put. Different responses will be sent. While in class we discuss and get the real answer. With this they gain competency in real life situation.

Expectations:

I expect to gain a lot from a forum of this magnitude when many participants from different countries both developed and developing come together with their different ideas in the use of ICT in teaching and learning process. As a participant, I will also share my own experience in the teaching field for the past twenty three years.
