In my day-to – day work I usually challenge myself to find the best and most effective method to solve issues such as fighting in schools or aggressivity in the teenager groups. I  have already tried to raise awareness in this regard by producing short-videos and organizing sensibilization meetings with the most sensitive groups, as well as interacting with their parents in order to build a healthy environment  in the class/ school and in other outdoor educational facilities such as sport yard etc.
Merits:

The teachers have been finalists and winners of the annual National Teacher Prize, organized by the Albanian Coalition for Education, the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and with the support of the Varkey Foundation.

Expectations:

I find the Global International Pedagogical Forum an excellent opportunity to exchange experience in resolving global issues as well as developing ideas on social skills required in the contemporary society.

While I firmly believe that the Teacher is the person most responsible for the future of the world and to this end, I think another interesting topic is related to the new educational programs and standards set to face modern challenges. I totally agree with the vision and spirit of the forum regarding the role of the teachers as a leader in affecting younger generations for years by forming their vision of the future and attitude towards current events. However, in Albania as I believe it happens in many other developing countries that have set their priorities only in political and economic fields, the role of teacher is underestimated.

Moreover, people usually do not see the profession of the teacher as challenging and on the other hand it happens that even experienced teachers as well as newly appointed one, are not always able to follow modern trends in society and innovative technologies. To this end, and with a view to my own previous pedagogical experience in teaching with the assistance of electronic /digital equipment I do expect from this forum to raise awareness on this issue and to define a best applicable standards and goals for the educational system.

The deep discrepancy between knowledge of school graduates and employers’ requirements is reflected in the awkward situation of the educational programs in schools and universities which do not meet labor market requirements. Thus, creating a real gap which I really hope that this International Forum will study and address in the best way possible.
