I am a PhD student at the Department of Italian Language & Literature of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. I hold a Master of Science (MSc) in Human Communication, which was awarded by University College London, University of London. My BA is in English Language and Literature (University of Athens). I have been an EFL teacher for more than 14 years with a range of teaching experience in adult, secondary special vocational, and higher vocational education, as well as in the field of Psycholinguistics in the Department of Speech & Language Therapy (T.E.I. of Epirus). I am an accredited adult educator by the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government and an accredited Oral Examiner for the Speaking Test for the State English Language Certification (ΚΠγ). Since 2009 I have been teaching English as an appointed teacher at the Vocational Special Needs Junior High & High School of Nea Ionia Magnesia, Greece. During the years 2011-2013, I initiated and coordinated a Comenius multilateral school partnership with partners from 6 different countries. I am keen on life-long learning and e-learning, and I have successfully attended two courses through Coursera ("E-learning and Digital Cultures" by The University of Edinburgh" and "Modern and Contemporary American Poetry" by the University of Pennsylvania). Since September 2019, I have been posted as a teacher at the Second Chance School of Domokos which operates within the premises of an adult male prison. For the current school year, I have assumed the position of headteacher of the specific prison school.
