Diversity isn’t disadvantage but part of our life

Purpose of this speech aims to submit the diversity like a part of our life not a disadvantage.Diversity in the classroom where the pupils learn: pupils with special needs, pupils from different community ,different cultures and different social- economic ,”We are different, but we have our rights.”

Every year comes new pupils in every school. My classroom has 25-30 pupils to 5-7 years old.Every pupils is unique.”My classroom seems like a field of colorful flowers.”The composition of my classroom is diverse and my duty as a preschool teacher is:

1- to create equal opportunities for education to all pupils.
2- to create a warm classroom for everyone.
3- to create opportunity for every pupils to express freely his/herpotential.
4- to develop his/her competencies.
5- to create his/her personality with global civics values .

Diversity is seen by parents as a obstacle for their children.

There are cases where parents do not want their child to learn in a classroom with a child with special needs or another community.Every year we encounter these obstacles with parents.

My duty as teacher is to do meetings with parents to inform for the Comprehensive Education Law where each child has the status of education regardless of the color ,of the community he/she became or special needs he/she has.

1- Knowledge of different cultures to different communities.
2- Point out the strengths of these pupils.
3- The benefits of the diversity in the classroom and in their life.( to accept the diversity as a part of their life now and in the future).

The new curriculum in ours schools gives every pupils the opportunity to discover and develop their potential.Participation, inclusion in projects, activities in the classroom enhances co-cooperation with each other where every pupils perform his/her develop and the abilities or skills.The pupils reflect on diversity in their community school.They learn that respect built through discussion andmutual understanding and acceptance will to reach and accept of compromises. 

In the classroom area clearly seats out The rights of the children and the Rules of the Classroom we have assignedtogether with the pupils from the beginning of the school.Every pupils have the equal rights and equal duties .

The diversity enhances the teamwork, reflecting on the acceptance of the diversity as a part of our life not as a obstacle in our job as teacher.This is accomplished through:

1-Different conversations where each pupils expresses his/her opinion ,respects the other’s opinion.(agrees or contradicts it with arguments).
2- Projects on teamwork( knowledge of desires and preferences of each pupils in classroom)8
3-Different games (language ,maths ,sport activities)
4-Cultural and extracurricular activities.
5-Meetings with parents of pupils to give information about their children.
6-Collaboration with colleges to exchange the best experiences.

I think the acceptance of the diversity begins from the teacher and I have been part of my job, that I educate to my pupils.I love my profession, I treat my pupils as my children . I’am happy when my pupils come to school with pleasure.iI like their hugs when they arrive in the morning and they leave the schoolI like their question: What we have to do for tomorrow?! 

This is too much for me and I said to myself: I have done!
