The use of Clubs in schools to motivate students and bring together parents and the whole community in a learning process

English Club is an extracurricular activity that I set up to motivate my students to learn English but it also brings together the parents and the whole community in a learning process in a rather remote and difficult learning environment. In the Club I offered a wide range of activities, small clubs like Book Club, Cooking Club, Movie Club, English Club for Parents and so on.  Giving students choices seemed like a good idea because they got involved where they felt most comfortable to get started. Bringing parents in the Club was also necessary to promote learning and give them the opportunity to continue learning.  Most of the activities were held in school but some in our virtual space which turned out so useful when the pandemic came in.
