The Didactics of History in the new teaching resources
Merits:

Cláudia Pinto Ribeiro has a Ba (2005) and a PhD (2009) in History from the Faculty Arts and Humanities of Oporto University, where she is currently adjunct professor of the Department of History and Political and International Studies. She is a researcher at CITCEM – Transdisciplinary Research Centre «Culture, Space and Memory». She is also the author of multiple works and articles, particularly in the field of contemporary history of Portugal and history of education, history of didactic and historical education.

Contribution:

The topics a participant is going to discuss  innovative digital tools in History teaching:

the Didactics of History in the new teaching resources;

the use of sources in a constructivist perspective;   

the use of secondary sources to the understanding of History, like music;

how to teach students to look and enjoy art;

bringing history to the daily life – the development of critical thinking and historical consciousness; 

strategies to motivate students to learn History 
 
 

Expectations:

I expect to learn and to know how other participants teach History, watch different pedagogical strategies and try to collaborate with my experience to increase the knowledge of others.
