In 2001, it became part of the London school of hygiene and tropical medicine and, along with the Department of Virology, is also a co-organizer of the medical Microbiology course. Throughout her career, Roy has improved her understanding of the basics of molecular and cellular biology, replication, and transmission of various viruses.
Her research has led to advances in the development of improved diagnostic tests, more effective vaccines against virus-like protein (VLP). She worked at the University of Oxford.
