Merits:

Lourdes Ramírez de Viloria is a doctor-surgeon, professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zulia (LUZ) and President of the Federation of Associations of University Teachers of Venezuela (FAPUV), a national organization that brings together the 18 teachers' associations of the different national universities of the country.

In LUZ, Lourdes Ramírez de Viloria directed the Student Welfare Organization of that university, from where she promoted social programs to guarantee the successful pursuit of the students during her career.

As a teacher, his exercise has been in the Model of Integral Curriculum, aimed at training surgeons trained scientifically, ethically, spiritually and technically to understand the bio-psycho-social nature of the human being and its interrelation with the environment, performing practical tasks of promotion , protection, treatment and rehabilitation of health with individuals and communities. The focus is integral attention, proactively and in a team.

As President of FAPUV, she has promoted the discussion in the country regarding the difficult moments that education is experiencing today in Venezuela, which our Federation has defined as a humanitarian emergency in education, and developed alliances with different sectors seeking priority attention to this emergency
