IPF Topics: Awareness in the Global Information World Students need to be trained as global citizens and understand the ever-changing world. This topic is one I would like to hear more about and speak about. Having taught in multiple countries and to many different cultures, it is becoming more important everyday the youth of today understand the world outside their own community. The world continues to shrink every day, as transportation becomes easier as well as internet access is readily available, we need to prepare kids to enter the global community and not only the local or national community. Social Networking and School Technology is becoming an increasing part of life. Students and adults seem to be attached to phones, tablets, computers, etc. It is important to teach students about using these devices safely and effectively. In addition, parents and teachers need to embrace the use of technology to understand the ever-changing world. Social networking is used by nearly everyone in the world today. Instead of just talking to kids about the dangers, embracing it and using it more to help kids expand their knowledge of themselves, their communities, even their world, will do more to help them use networking responsibly, professionally, and efficiently. Reliable Sources on the Internet Anyone in the world can post anything to the internet. The internet has been able to bring people together to share information but can be dangerous when information is accepted as true without be checked or verified. Hate, fear, and ignorance from misinformation is becoming far to common. Kids need to be taught how to find answers and check for reliability of information. Embracing technology in the classroom for research, even every day questions, will help students to find the answers they need much more effectively.

Contribution:

I have taught STEM all over the world including America, China, Poland, and currently, England.  It does not matter where in the world, what language you are teaching in, kids always want the same thing, they all want to learn and be successful in their learning.

Taught and inspired children of all ages on the benefits of space exploration. Led large groups through exhibits and shared the NASA story on history, chemistry, physics, aerodynamics and mathematics. Supervised employees to ensure overall excellence in the guest experience. Ran and organized shuttle, zero-gravity wall and moon-walking simulator sessions. Organized educational program logistics and coordinated various departments to ensure safety of the students. In addition to teaching classes in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Calculus, Space Science and History, also worked to develop curriculum and activities for students of all ages.
